Subject: 2-Week International Certificate Course on Community Based Microfinance (CBMF) for Financial Inclusion: 8th to 20th December 2014
Dear All:
Greetings from APMAS & Sadhikartha Foundation!
It is that time of the year to announce the 2-week Certificate Course on Community Based Microfinance (CBMF) for Financial Inclusion, jointly offered by Sadhikartha Foundation (a not-for-profit company promoted by APMAS) and Coady International Institute, Canada.
This is the third time that Coady & Sadhikratha Foundation/APMAS offering this course in Hyderabad, India. Earlier this course was only offered at Coady International Institute, St Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Cananda. Over the past three years, we are offering it in India and Ethiopia to enable participants from developing courtiers to benefit from it. The uniqueness of the course offering in India (and Ethiopia) is that we are able to organize field visits to “sound practices” of SHG model, Village Savings & Credit Association (VSLA) model and Cooperative model. Also, the thought leaders & practitioners in the sector will be able to interact with the participants. Many policy makers, Government Officials, donors, bankers, senior staff of large scale national missions like National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) and practitioners will be able to benefit from this course. The course follows innovative teaching methodologies, including case studies and the entire course will be participant-centric based on the adult learning principles.
Course Dates: 8th to 20th December 2014
We have had very good response to this international certificate course in the past. India CBMF certificate course 2013 had eight international participants, many from Africa. We are hoping that there will be overwhelming response to the course this time around, particularly from India!
We sincerely hope that you will able to nominate your senior staff / colleagues for this course. There is no need for submitting manual application form. Prospective candidates can get full details about the course and can apply online at www.apmas.org/cbmfmain.aspx.
