[MFP] Pakistan Launches Islamic Ijara at microfinance level.

Pakistan Launches Micro Islamic Ijara,
(Lahore 5 May) 2nd Islamic Poverty Alleviation Alliance meeting held on 5th May 2013 at Farz Foundation's office Lahore. The representative of NGO World Foundation, AAS Foundation, Hunahar Foundation, Al Hijra Trust, Center for Advance Islamic Economics (CAIE) and Farz Foundation attended the meeting, while United Traders, Highly Keen HR Institute and Business Incubation Centre University of veterinary and Animal Science Lahore joined the meeting as the new members of the Alliance. The meeting was coupled with a half day workshop on Islamic Ijara. Mr. Raza Ali Shiekh Director CAIE, Mr. Jibran Basheer CEO, Highly Keen, Mr. Kamran Zaka Manager operations United Traders and Mr.Rafay Mahmood GM Farz Foundation, delivered lectures regarding Islamic Ijara as an interest free product, the importance of policy manuals, Ijara operations and customer screening accordingly. Mr. Kamran Zaka of United Traders stated that the company is going to join hand with Farz Foundation to expand Islamic Ijara Operations throughout the country. Farhat Abbas Shah President IPAA and the CEO of Farz Foundation delivered a word of thank to the all thirty participants of the workshop and the meeting and expressed his conviction to promote Islamic Economics at micro level through IPAA members and productive poor communities. He cheered for The NGO World Foundation on earning ISO certification. President IPAA also stated that AAS Foundation and The NGO World Foundation would also be the operational partners in Farz United Islamic Ijara Project.
