The ILO's Microinsurance Innovation Facility (MIF) is organizing a webinar on "Technology: Improving the enrolment experience" on 4 June 2013.
In many microinsurance markets, enrolling low-income clients in a manner that is both convenient for customers and cost-effective for providers remains a key challenge. Practitioners are often faced with issues related to lack of customer identification, inappropriate premium payment methods, and inaccessible point-of-sale locations.
How can technology facilitate the enrolment process and make microinsurance more accessible for customers? How can small premiums be collected in an efficient manner? What can we learn from the experience of practitioners who are using various solutions to address enrolment challenges?
In the past five years, the ILO's Microinsurance Innovation Facility has made significant progress in supporting microinsurance development and learning critical lessons on how to build quality microinsurance at scale. As part of its 5th anniversary celebration, the Facility is organizing a session on "Technology: Improving the enrolment experience" that will be webcasted on 4 June, from 14:00 to 15:15 GMT. Note: The session is part of a 2-day "Knowledge Sharing Forum on Technology in Microinsurance" organized by the Facility, in collaboration with the CGAP Technology Program and Microensure, to be attended by partners.
