Microinsurance coverage is dramatically expanding, with over 500 million low-income people insured worldwide. With increasing recognition that poor people need a suite of financial services to meet their complex financial needs, services are improving, products are becoming more innovative, and microinsurance is becoming a key tool for helping people manage risks and protect assets.
