Join the Microcredit Summit Campaign and special guests TOMORROW for the launch event of Vulnerability: The State of the Microcredit Summit Campaign Report, 2013. Open to the public. RSVP online
Date: Tuesday, February 5th
Time: 3 to 5 PM
Location: Langston Room at Busboys and Poets (14th & V) in Washington, D.C.
Can't make it in person? The event will be live-streamed and we will take questions via Twitter (@MicroCredSummit). Use hashtag #vulnerability
The panel will discuss the latest figures presented in the 2013 Report on outreach to poor and poorest clients around the world, a number that is lower than in the previous year for the first time since the Campaign began tracking this figure in 1998. The panel will address questions about why these numbers are lower and what it means for the industry, what clients need, and how organizations can better meet those needs.
Panelists:
- Susy Cheston, moderator (Senior Advisor, the Center for Financial Inclusion at ACCION)
- Wendy Abt (Deputy Assistant Administrator, USAID)
- Alexia Latortue (Deputy CEO, CGAP)
- David Roodman (Senior Fellow, Center for Global Development)
- Larry Reed (Director, Microcredit Summit Campaign)
